The world of gaming has evolved over the last four decades in such a way that it has changed the way we play and experience digital entertainment. To celebrate Gamer Day, Globant held the “Globant Gamer Experience”, an event that brought together video game lovers, prominent figures from the gaming world, and journalists to enjoy a multisensory experience, where different generations enjoyed the technological evolution of gaming.
The Globant Tower building was the setting for this event, which combined networking with a sensory experience. Leading figures from the gaming sector participated in the networking day: Kevin Janzen, CEO of Globant’s Games & Edtech Studio; Luchi Quinteros and Frankkasterx from 9Z Globant; and Emilio González Moreira as a special guest.
Gaming fans participated in the talks and also enjoyed the Retro Game Experience, a tour that showed the technological evolution of different games, bringing together young and old through games that have marked several generations.
Our AJ PR team accompanied Globant in promoting its leadership in gaming development in Argentina and the region by managing press releases and interviews, as well as accompanying journalists from the industry along with their children and nephews during Game Experience Retro.
The gaming industry has changed dramatically since the classic arcade games of the 80s and 90s. Then came microcomputers such as the Sinclair ZX Spectrum and the Commodore 64, followed by the arrival of game consoles such as Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, and PlayStation in homes. Today, with smartphones, we have a wide range of video games at our fingertips.
During the conference, Globant provided details on the growth of gaming. According to projections by international consulting firm Statista, the video game market in Argentina will generate revenues of US$1.78 billion in 2025, demonstrating that video games are one of the cultural industries with a significant impact on the economy.
