The Argentine Association for Childhood Assistance, The House of Ronald McDonald held its traditional annual fundraising dinner whose main objective is to support current programs of the institution that improve the health and well-being of children and their families.
The solidarity dinner is the central fundraising event of La Casa and in its 24th edition it gathered more than 750 personalities who came to the Sheraton Hotel to share the moment and support the mission of the institution. The House develops and leads for 25 years in our country, programs that impact on the health and well-being of the child and his family.
Currently the Association has 10 active programs that are focused on Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Córdoba and Bahía Blanca and La Plata. For this, La Casa has four fundamental allies for the growth of the organization: the medical community; Social Organizations; volunteers; companies and opinion leaders.
The 24th edition achieved a collection of $ 9,500,000, which will be used to maintain the 10 active programs of the institution as well as new programs that are under development. In addition, a special patronage action was carried out on the rooms of La Casa de Buenos Aires, which has been in operation for 20 years.
The event was conducted under the leadership of Mariana Arias and Mariano Yezze; Diego Poggi and Kariana Mazzocco; Iliana Calabró, and Joaquín “Pollo” Álvarez. In addition, the show of the night was in charge of Fernando Dente.
More than 150 volunteers worked to make possible this new edition of the solidarity dinner that featured personalities from the artistic, business and political fields such as the United States Ambassador to Argentina, Edward C. Prado; the Intendant of Lomas de Zamora, Martín Insaurralde; the Minister of Health of the Province of Buenos Aires, Andrés Scarsi. Also present were journalists Daniel Hadad, Mónica Gutiérrez, Guillermo Andino, Pía Shaw, Roxy Vázquez, Guillermo Panizza and prominent figures of the artistic scene such as Grego Roselló Franco Masini, Pía Slapka, Fabián Medina Flores, among others.
“Today is a very special day for all of us who work at La Casa because we are celebrating 25 years of uninterrupted work, with which we have sheltered more than 150,000 children and their families. This fills us with pride and encourages us to continue strengthening and working on our programs so that more families can stay together in difficult times, “said Guillermina Lazzaro, Executive Director of The House of Ronald McDonald, who also thanked all companies, actors, journalists, organizations and volunteers that made the event possible.
